When people ask me what I do for a living, I tell them "I'm a voice actor". The reactions are pretty much the same "Wow, that sounds pretty cool!" I have to say, yep, it is. Voice acting is an incredibly rewarding career that I'm fortunate to have found.
What I love most about it, is the ability to bring written words to life. I get to use my voice to create various characters and emotions, from cartoon characters to video game heroes to audiobook narrators. It's incredibly fulfilling to know that my voice can help to tell a story, and literally bring a script to life.
One of the things I love about voice acting is the diversity of the work. Each day is different, there's always a new project or character to work on. I get to play different roles, work with different directors and producers, and get to explore new genres and styles. It's never boring, there's always something new to learn.
Something I really love about voice acting is the incredibly supportive community. I've had the pleasure of working with many talented people in the industry, ranging from fellow voice actors, directors and audio engineers. It's a tight knit community that's always willing to help each other out sharing their knowledge and experiences.
